Lake Charles Window and Door Replacement for Southwest Louisiana Homes
Southwest Louisiana's largest city sits in Calcasieu Parish, on the Calcasieu River where it opens into Lake Charles and Prien Lake. Singleton Windows & Doors reaches Lake Charles from our Kenner base to replace windows, entry doors and patio doors for homeowners who want a clear plan and careful install. Everett Singleton entered the trade in 2005 and opened the company in 2016. Callers talk with our local team, not a call center.

What Lake Charles houses are made of
The Charpentier Historic District downtown is filled with late-1800s and early-1900s carpenter-built houses, many with Victorian trim and tall sashes. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990. A short walk away, Margaret Place features bungalows, foursquares and 1920s homes. Both districts protect exterior changes through city design guidelines. Outside those cores, brick ranches and newer subdivisions toward Prien still carry a lot of original aluminum or builder vinyl.
The climate is humid subtropical: long sticky summers, frequent downpours and wind off the Gulf. Over time, seals fail and frames loosen. Hurricane Rita (2005) and Hurricane Laura (2020) also left many Lake Charles openings patched or replaced in a hurry.

Lake Charles FAQs
Is Lake Charles really in your service area?
Yes. We travel west from Kenner for Lake Charles jobs and plan those visits ahead of time.
What if my house is in Charpentier or Margaret Place?
We can usually help. Confirm the city's exterior guidelines first, then we'll size each opening and suggest looks that fit the house and the rules.
Do I need impact glass after Rita and Laura?
Not always, but many owners want it. We'll show impact and standard insulated pricing side by side so you can decide.
Can I replace a few storm-damaged windows now and finish later?
Yes. Partial projects are fine. We'll advise whether to match what remains or plan a fuller upgrade.
